Zero to sixty in 20 seconds. Impossible for most, but not for the SEI Team!
SEI has been selected as a prime contractor for the NIH ECS III Webstore. This website provides a central location for government agencies to purchase IT goods and services online. The system is called the ECS III STOOR System and can be viewed by going to: http://www.nihecs3.com/.
On Wednesday July 2nd, 2004, the SEI Team had its first ECSIII sale for approximately $6,500.00 and it only took 20 seconds from input to confirmation. Now that's convenience! Here is all that happened in that brief period of time:
- The customer's order was entered on our website.
- The credit card number was entered.
- The credit card was verified.
- An approval code was received.
- All parties responsible for delivery where sent emails verifying the order.
- All financial records were updated.
What made this transaction so special was the convenience that such a quick process gives to our customers versus their present methods of ordering IT products from multiple vendors. |
